JOB TITLE: Service Delivery Engineer



LOCATION: New York Area



PACKAGE: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00, +20% Bonus, with full American Benefits



 



Company Information:



My client is a fast-growing young company that provides cloud storage solutions that enable service providers and enterprises to launch managed storage, backup, file sharing and mobile collaboration services using a single platform and base on the cloud storage infrastructure of their choice.



Key Experience Required:




  • At least 5 years’ experience as service delivery engineer in storage/Security/IT or a related industry to with service providers and large enterprise customers

  • Perfect spoken and written English skills

  • Willing to travel to customers for implementations

  • Additional languages – is an advantage

  • Enterprise scale project management skills

  • VMware experience and/or certification – Advantage

  • Storage Experience – such as Hitachi, EMC, NetApp or IBM – knows how to create and manage LUNS, iSCSI initiators and targets, troubleshoot storage related problems. Has experience in creating, managing, troubleshooting ZFS storage pools and experienced with enterprise ACL, CIFS, NFS, AFP

  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, including troubleshooting using tools such as wireshark, ethereal etc. Knowledge of DNS, and other common IP protocols such as SMTP etc.



Role Information:




  • Help customers properly implement my client’s product on their Public or Private Cloud

  • Recreate customer’s symptoms at test lab and assist in troubleshooting and resolving product bugs

  • Provide engineering leadership in the integration of new capabilities into existing infrastructure

  • Follow up on customer support tickets and work closely with the R&D team to fix them

  • Coordinate and implement new software and operating system installation and documentation

  • Communicate customer needs and wishes to my client’s product team

  • You will solve product and network problems of low to high complexity. You must be able to effectively utilize complex lab setups to duplicate and solve problems

  • Customer-facing role where you will provide professional services to my client’s top customers.
