JOB TITLE: Channel Sales Engineer
LOCATION: Seattle, WA, United States
PACKAGE: $175,000.00 - $280,000.00 OTE, on a 60/40 split. With healthcare, pension and 401K matching.

My client is the only real-time cloud monitoring platform for infrastructure, microservices, and applications. The platform discovers and collects metrics across every component in your cloud environment, replacing traditional point tools and providing real-time predictive analytics. My client is used by leading enterprises across high tech, financial services, consumer products, retail, communications, entertainment, and wed-scale players.
Key Experience Required:
- 5+ years’ experience working in Sales Engineering or other pre-sales roles
- 3+ years’ experience working in engineering/development roles
- Hands-on experience working with modern programming languages including: Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, Node.js, Python, etc.
- Experience selling and working with pure SaaS solutions in multi-tenant architectures
- Experience with working with Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Lambda (preferred)
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure (preferred)
- Experience with open source monitoring tools like Nagios, Ganglia, collectd, Graphite, etc. (preferred)
- Comfortable working in dynamic, fast paced start-up environments
- Will be based out of either my client’s HQ in San Mateo, or San Francisco offices, however, will be on site with customers as needed
Role Information:
- Expected travel is approximately 25%, focused primarily on the Western US
- Work directly with the top minds in the monitoring industry, and partner with development and product management team members to redefine how customers manage, monitor and analyse their infrastructure, microservices and applications
- Understand and help to orchestrate all phases of the sales cycle, including leading proof of concepts and other customer validation activities
- Be comfortable working with customers to help them define their future architectural roadmap as a trusted advisor
- Oversee the adoption, optimisation and integration of my client’s product into the customer’s business architecture
- Be successful working with all levels of an organisation from the C-suite down to individual developers and SRE’s
