JOB TITLE: Inside Sales Engineer
LOCATION: San Mateo, CA, United States
PACKAGE: $200,000.00 OTE, on a 60/40 split. With healthcare, pension and 401K matching.

My client is the only real-time cloud monitoring platform for infrastructure, microservices, and applications. The platform discovers and collects metrics across every component in your cloud environment, replacing traditional point tools and providing real-time predictive analytics. My client is used by leading enterprises across high tech, financial services, consumer products, retail, communications, entertainment, and wed-scale players.
Key Experience Required:
- 5+ years as a Sales/Solutions Engineer (preferred), Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer or Software Engineer/Developer with experience leading projects and/or working with customers
- Hands-on experience working with modern programming languages including: Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, Node.js, Python, etc.
- Experience selling and working with pure SaaS solutions in multi-tenant architectures (preferred)
- Experience with working with Kubernetes, Docker, Lambda (preferred)
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure (preferred)
- Experience with open source monitoring tools like Nagios, Ganglia, collectd, Graphite, etc. (preferred)
- Comfortable working in dynamic, fast paced start-up environments
- Will work primarily out of my client’s San Francisco office
Role Information:
- Travel is less than 10%
- Work directly with the top minds in the monitoring industry, and partner with development and product management team members to redefine how customers manage, monitor and analyse their infrastructure, microservices and applications
- Understand and help to orchestrate all phases of the sales cycle, including leading proof of concepts and other customer validation activities
- Masterful at balancing the volume and velocity that the inside sales business runs at. This means being able to successfully interact with numerous prospects and customers on a daily basis and make them feel as important as larger customers
- Be comfortable working with customers to help them define their future architectural roadmap as a trusted advisor
- Oversee the adoption, optimisation and integration of my client into the customers’ business architecture
- Be successful working with all levels of an organisation from the C-suite down to individual developers and SRE’s
