JOB TITLE: Software Engineer (MTS Distributed Systems)
LOCATION: Bay Area, United States
PACKAGE: $150,000.00 Base

My client is the leader in Open Converged Infrastructure for private clouds. My client converges compute, data encryption, primary and secondary storage, business continuity and archive to cloud for vastly simpler administration, performance and protection of private cloud infrastructure.
Key Experience Required:
- BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science and Engineering
- 0-7 years of experience
- Expertise in C (or C++), Python, and Java programming languages
- Proficiency in data structures and algorithms
- Proficiency and experience in inter-process communication, threading models, synchronisation concepts, and complex multithreaded software design
- Knowledge of networking concepts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Linux Kernel
- Knowledge of Virtualisation and Container technologies including VMWare, KVM, Docker and Kubernetes
Role Information:
- Design and implement changes and features in data replication
- This area interacts directly with the filesystem, snapshots, and network communication
- Create functional specification and design documents
- Ensure that the quality and performance of module meet the required criteria
- The breadth of the role is only limited by the candidate’s enthusiasm and willingness to pursue issues in to adjacent product components
