JOB TITLE: Software Engineer

LOCATION: Bay Area, United States

PACKAGE: $150,000.00 Base

Company Information:

My client is the leader in Open Converged Infrastructure for private clouds. My client converges compute, data encryption, primary and secondary storage, business continuity and archive to cloud for vastly simpler administration, performance and protection of private cloud infrastructure.

Key Experience Required:

• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering


• 2+ years of experience working on ESX Hypervisor or Linux / KVM platforms


• Proficiency in at least one of ESX of Linux / KVM Operating system – including system start-up, device management, storage management and memory management


• Proficiency in C (or C ++) and Python programming languages


• Proficiency in data structures and algorithms


• Proficiency in data structures and algorithms


• Proficiency and experience in inter-process communication, threading models, synchronisation concepts, and complex multithreaded software design


• Basic understanding of Storage devices, SSDs, RAID Controllers


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Role Information:

• Work with the Product Management team to define new product functionality for my client’s software running on various host operating systems – ESX and Linux / KVM


• Work on and own areas of my client’s software that interacts with the underlying operating system


• Create functional specification and design documents for new features and enhancements


• Implement features in a modular fashion while meeting all the quality criteria and benchmarks


• Collaborate with quality assurance team to review test plans and test cases to ensure that the features are ready for production release


• Collaborate with Customer Support team to provide great customer experience to all of my client’s customers
